Tipsheet: Failures elsewhere boost Missouri's College Football Playoff hopes
Missouri's hopes for a College Football Playoff berth received a boost on Saturday when three of the teams ranked ahead of the Tigers were upset
No. 5 LSU lost to No. 20 Texas A&M, No. 6 Alabama lost to No. 15 Auburn, and No. 7 Florida lost to No. 1 Georgia.
The losses by LSU, Alabama, and Florida open the door for Missouri to move into the top four of the College Football Playoff rankings
The Tigers are currently ranked No. 8 in the CFP rankings, but they could move up as high as No. 4 if they win their remaining games and other teams ahead of them continue to lose.
Missouri's remaining schedule is favorable
The Tigers have just two games remaining on their regular season schedule, and both are against unranked opponents
Missouri will host Vanderbilt on November 23rd and then travel to Arkansas on November 29th.
If Missouri can win its remaining games and other teams ahead of them continue to lose, the Tigers could find themselves in the College Football Playoff
It's a long shot, but it's certainly possible
